We are excited to announce that our board game prototype “Project Aleutian” will be known as “Stone Clouds of the Eastern Sky” going forward into production! We always knew that the code name Project Aleutian was temporary, but after over 2 years since we announced the prototype in January 2024, it became a central part of the project.

Why Stone Clouds of the Eastern Sky? The stone cloud portion may be a bit more obvious for those who have been following for a while. Stone clouds are these floating land masses that are a part of the central conflict of the game because they host a high concentration of cumulus quartz, the unique resource that causes them to float. Eastern sky is a little less obvious. Ever since I started making a map of Bryche, the setting of the game, the global air currents that would move these stone clouds was always of interest. In this case they mostly blow east-to-west brining the stone clouds to the continent by way of the eastern sky. With that, we are excited to have you with us on this next step of our journey, which is bound to be exciting as we work hard to bring Stone Clouds of the Eastern Sky into your home!
